Rangamati, nestled in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh, is a breathtaking destination renowned for its captivating scenery, highlighted by the serene Kaptai Lake and lush green hills. This district, with its headquarters in Rangamati town, boasts the largest area in Bangladesh.

Home to a population of around 508,182 people, as per the 2005 census, Rangamati is a melting pot of cultures. The population includes both Bengalees and indigenous tribes, such as Chakma, Marma, Tanchangya, Tripura, and others.
Rangamati holds a rich history, having been contested by kings from Tripura and Arakan before coming under the rule of the Mughal Empire in 1566. Over time, various ethnic settlements, including the Chakma settlement, flourished in the region.
