Sylhet illuminates the northeastern region of the country surrounded by the diversity of hills, Haor-Baur, and forests. There are many legends and stories about this city.

Sylhet is famous for tea. The smell, meaning, and count of this tea are unmatched anywhere else in the world. The orderly form of the tea garden can be seen only in this Sylhet.
Also, there is a special Sylheti tea, which is known as seven tala tea or seven-layer tea. Ramesh Ram Gaur is the inventor of seven-color tea. In Sylhet, this tea of seven colors is called 'Rainbow Tea'. Seven colors of tea in a cup are as colorful as the rainbow in the sky, with different flavors in each layer.
Surrounded by the Surma-Kushiyara river, there are many Haor-Bills, small and big hillocks in this district. Has the country's largest Haor Hakaluki section. The district is rich in natural fishery resources, and a surplus in terms of agricultural production, especially rice production. In the north-eastern corner of the district lies the foothills of the Khasia-Jaimitmaya Hills.
The soil here is particularly suitable for tea cultivation and its immense beauty attracts tourists. Sylhet's Jaflong, Lalakhal, Bholaganj, Jaimatmapur, tea gardens located at different places, and other sightseeing spots are considered high-quality resorts and tourist spots. Sylhet district is a unique district in natural gas, oil, limestone, hard rock, sand, and other natural resources.
Sylhet is also unique in Bangladesh for its people and language. Sylheti people speak Bengali in their way, and they are very proud of their language and region. An estimated 11 million people speak the Sylheti language. Their folk music is very unique and beautiful.
